As a Strategy and Market Intelligence Intern, you will work at the intersection of strategy, technology, and life sciences. This three-month internship focuses on building a structured view of the competitive landscape to help shape how PhaseV positions itself in the clinical AI market. You will have ownership over designing research frameworks, synthesizing insights for senior leadership, and piloting AI-powered tools to automate market monitoring.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate the competitive landscape and establish a sustainable competitive intelligence framework.
- Build a centralized tracker to monitor clinical AI, adaptive design, product capabilities, pricing, and funding activity.
- Translate complex market intelligence into clear, executive-ready insights using frameworks like SWOT to support board materials and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams to ensure market insights are integrated into pitch decks and product positioning.
- Track pharma, CRO trends, and regulatory signals from organizations like the FDA and EMA.
- Define and conceptualize an AI-powered agent or structured workflow to automate competitor monitoring and reduce manual tracking.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in life sciences, business, data science, public health, or health administration.
- A genuine interest in pharma, biotech, health tech, or clinical research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving and a self-starter mindset.
- Familiarity with or interest in AI tools, no-code/low-code platforms, and tools such as PowerPoint, Notion, Airtable, or Excel is preferred.
