About the role#
The PeoplesBank Internship Program is a 10-week, full-time paid experience running from June through August. You will gain hands-on experience in the banking industry while building professional skills. Interns are assigned to specific departments based on business needs and their own educational background. You will work on meaningful projects, participate in professional development sessions, and connect with leaders across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Learn daily department operations and navigate internal systems and data.
- Contribute to current departmental initiatives and projects.
- Build a foundation in the products, operations, and systems unique to your assigned department.
- Develop an understanding of the banking industry and the PeoplesBank business model.
- Complete all required compliance training and testing.
- Participate in networking events, executive meet-and-greets, and professional development sessions.
- Prepare and deliver a professional presentation to leaders, managers, and peers at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated interest in business, banking, financial services, technology, project management, or human resources.
- Leadership potential shown through campus involvement, community service, athletics, student organizations, or past employment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems quickly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
- The role is on-site and full-time for the Summer 2027 term.
- Compensation is $20 per hour.
