About the role#
PeoplesBank is offering a 10-week, full-time paid internship program for Summer 2027. This program provides students with hands-on experience in the banking industry. You will be assigned to a specific department based on your background and interests, such as Finance, Digital Growth, Risk Oversight, Retail Administration, Commercial Lending, Project Management, Wealth Management, IT, or Human Resources. Throughout the summer, you will gain industry insight and build professional skills while working on meaningful projects.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects specific to your assigned department.
- Learn daily operations and navigate department systems and data.
- Participate in on-the-job learning, independent study, and community events.
- Attend networking sessions, executive meet-and-greets, and professional development workshops.
- Build a foundation in banking products, operations, and the company business model.
- Complete all required compliance training and testing.
- Adhere to federal, state, and bank regulations, policies, and service standards.
- Prepare and deliver a final presentation to leadership and stakeholders regarding your project work and experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree relevant to your internship area.
- Demonstrated interest in fields such as business, banking, finance, technology, project management, or human resources.
- Leadership potential shown through campus activities, athletics, volunteering, or prior work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
