About the role#
PEAK is hiring for a Production Livestock Internship based in Shawano, Wisconsin. This program gives you a look into our production operations while focusing on research opportunities within our bull population. You will spend the summer gaining hands-on experience in the bovine semen production process.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with elite bulls to collect and process semen.
- Perform laboratory tasks to create semen products for beef and dairy operations.
- Conduct an individual research project throughout the summer.
- Explore career paths within PEAK and the broader URUS family.
- Shadow an employee from a URUS-sister company to learn about different roles.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2-year technical college or 4-year university.
- Pursuing a degree in agriculture, biology, genetics, or data science.
- A strong interest in agriculture and new technology.
- A willingness to learn and try new tasks.
- Hands-on experience working with cattle is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Shawano, Wisconsin.
- Term: 12 weeks between May and August 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
- Housing: Provided or supported by a stipend.
- Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
