About the role#
Pathway is seeking a Brand Marketing and PR intern to contribute to the public narrative surrounding frontier AI research and product development. This role involves translating complex technical concepts into accessible messaging and supporting the brand as a category-defining AI company. You will work in a hybrid capacity, with regular presence required at the Palo Alto, California office.
What you'll do#
- Craft narratives based on technical research and product developments.
- Develop social media and content strategies.
- Support the planning and execution of events, talks, and roundtables.
- Assist with media research, press materials, briefing documents, and outreach preparation.
- Translate complex topics, such as continual learning and benchmark results, into compelling messaging.
- Monitor conversations in AI, startups, and research to identify communication opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in English and strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Prior internship or work experience in marketing, PR, journalism, brand strategy, communications, or media.
- A strong portfolio of writing, campaigns, media placements, events, newsletters, social content, or community initiatives.
- Experience in a leadership role within a student newspaper, magazine, communications team, or other high-performance student organization.
- Ability to understand complex ideas quickly and translate them into clear messaging.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Location: Palo Alto, California, United States (Hybrid).
- Term: Rolling, with a duration of 3 to 6 months.
- Status: Paid, part-time internship.
