Brand Marketing & PR Internship

About the role#

Pathway is seeking a Brand Marketing & PR intern to help shape the public narrative around frontier AI research and development. This role is suited for individuals who combine intellectual rigor with strong execution, capable of translating complex technical concepts into accessible messaging. You will contribute to the brand identity of an early-stage company working on continuous learning and real-time AI architecture.

What you'll do#

• Craft narratives surrounding technical research and product developments.
• Develop and implement social media and content strategies.
• Assist with media research, the preparation of press materials, and the creation of briefing documents.
• Monitor industry conversations in AI, startups, and research to identify communication opportunities.
• Translate complex topics, such as continual learning and benchmark results, into compelling messaging.
• Support the planning and execution of events, talks, and roundtables.

What you'll need#

• Fluency in English and strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Prior internship or work experience in marketing, PR, journalism, brand strategy, communications, or media.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating work in writing, campaigns, media placements, events, newsletters, social content, or community initiatives.
• Experience in a leadership role within a student newspaper, magazine, communications team, or other high-performance student organization.
• Ability to understand complex ideas quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Academic background in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.

• Location: Palo Alto, California (Hybrid work model with regular office presence required).
• Term: Rolling, 3-6 month duration.
• Employment: Part-time, paid internship.
