About the role#
Path Construction is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Arlington Heights, Illinois. You will work as part of a team to learn the daily operations of construction project management.
What you'll do#
Interns participate in the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to final closeout. You will support the team with the following tasks:
- Manage day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle contract administration, procurement, and estimating.
- Process requests for information and track submittals.
- Monitor and document jobsite safety and accident prevention.
- Assist with project cost reviews, reporting, and accounting.
- Review subcontractor applications for payment and negotiate change proposal pricing.
- Coordinate field installations and participate in project meetings.
- Research construction means, methods, and equipment.
- Implement safety and EEO programs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with modern technology.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel.
