About the role#
Path Construction is hiring for a Project Management Internship in Tampa, Florida for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position designed for students pursuing a degree in construction-related fields. Interns will participate in the daily operations of construction projects, supporting our team on-site.
What you'll do#
- Manage day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle general contract and subcontract administration.
- Monitor and document jobsite safety, accident prevention, and implement safety programs.
- Assist with construction scheduling and material procurement.
- Process RFIs and coordinate shop drawing and submittal reviews.
- Review project costs, update reports, and manage accounting tasks.
- Review subcontractor applications for payment.
- Participate in and document project coordination meetings.
- Supervise and coordinate field installations.
- Review, negotiate, and prepare change proposals and change order documentation.
- Research construction means, methods, and equipment.
- Conduct quality control and assist with project closeout.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of project management processes and software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with modern technology.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel.
