About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a student to gain experience in civil engineering. You will work under supervision to complete routine tasks that require an understanding of fundamental engineering, construction, and mathematical concepts. You will support our engineers and project teams with design sketches, permit applications, and graphic materials.
What you'll do#
- Help with construction phase services under the direction of a project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations.
- Complete project tasks like quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Prepare marketing proposals.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computer aided design software and other hardware tools.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software tools.

- Location: Abilene, Texas.
- This is an on-site, part-time, paid position.
- The internship term is rolling.
