About the role#
Join our Operations team to see how the transportation industry works. This internship provides hands-on business experience in logistics and supply chain management. You will work in a team setting to support daily operations and help keep freight moving across the country. We welcome students from all years of college, from freshmen to graduating seniors.
What you'll do#
- Build relationships with professional drivers.
- Work in a team to find creative solutions to operational challenges.
- Maintain, schedule, and dispatch for drivers.
- Learn different fleets to cover various Driver Manager desk functions.
- Audit driver pay requests and manage missing paperwork.
- Assist in coaching drivers to develop skills and relationships.
- Ensure the team meets on-time delivery goals.
- Navigate through multiple systems to keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a college student in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Motivation, eagerness to learn, and the ability to take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in De Pere, Wisconsin.
- This is a paid, rolling internship.
- During the school year, interns typically work 2 to 4 days per week, averaging 4 to 8 hours per day.
- Full-time hours are available during summer and winter breaks.
