About the role#
As a Corporate Accounting Intern, you will work with the Corporate Accounting team on key financial processes. This role provides hands-on experience with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will gain insight into corporate accounting practices, internal controls, and financial systems while working alongside subject matter experts.
What you'll do#
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, close meetings, and tracking.
- Assist with account reconciliations and prepare drafts for cash or prepaid accounts.
- Perform variance analysis by reviewing month-over-month changes.
- Help with intercompany accounting and matching balances with counterparties.
- Review fixed asset documentation, including additions and depreciation.
- Update prepaid accounting schedules and amortization calculations.
- Review journal-entry support to ensure documentation meets expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve the formatting, consistency, and readability of financial statements.
- Create and update accounting process documentation.
- Participate in project work that involves gathering source information and communicating progress to stakeholders.
- Learn how accounting and financial reporting support business decision-making at Panduit.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a 4-year degree program.
- Major in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience with general ledger and spreadsheet tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to ask questions and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work well within a team.

- This position is based on-site in Tinley Park, Illinois.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
