About the role#
The Palomar Summer Internship Program offers college students and early career professionals the chance to gain technical experience in the insurance industry. You will join one technical department for a 9-week period to contribute to meaningful projects that support our growth. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with fellow interns and team members on daily tasks.
- Take on analytical, strategic, and tactical responsibilities within your assigned department.
- Participate in weekly professional development workshops.
- Present an overview of your internship projects at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You are currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- You have maintained an exceptional grade point average.
- You have a passion for growth within a specific department.
- You are available for a minimum of 8 weeks.
- Preferred majors include Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, or Finance.
- Preference is given to candidates who have passed at least one actuarial exam.
Location & details#
- This role is based in La Jolla, California, Edina, Minnesota, or Chicago, Illinois.
- This is a hybrid position requiring you to be in the office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
