This internship provides hands-on experience in food science with a focus on dough and bread products. Interns will engage in recipe development, product testing, quality control, and research while learning about industry standards and food safety regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating new recipes, experimenting with different ingredients and techniques, and optimizing existing formulations.
- Conduct sensory tests to evaluate the taste, texture, and appearance of baked goods.
- Collect and analyze data regarding product shelf life and stability.
- Inspect products for defects and verify they meet specific quality criteria.
- Assist with implementing food safety procedures and investigate the effects of different ingredients on product characteristics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to food science, baking science, nutrition, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, chemistry, or environmental engineering.
- Prior experience with recipe development and product testing.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations.
