About the role#
The Student Assistant provides administrative support to the Educational Media department in Pleasantville. This role focuses on daily office operations, including managing incoming communications and assisting with department projects.
What you'll do#
- Answer phones and greet office visitors.
- Take detailed messages for staff follow-up.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties.
- Assist clients with classroom and event set ups and closings.
- Help with various department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Zoom.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and patient approach when working with visitors.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week during school sessions and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
