About the role#
As a Lifeguard, you will ensure the safety of patrons at the aquatic facility. You are responsible for preventing and responding to emergencies while maintaining a constant watch over the pool deck. This position requires a friendly attitude toward all swimmers and active participation in required training sessions.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the pool deck whenever swimmers are present.
- Enforce all pool rules and follow the emergency action plan.
- Arrive fifteen minutes before your shift starts.
- Set up lane lines, tot docks, and other equipment as needed.
- Return the pool to its regular configuration and store all equipment after your shift.
- Complete routine administrative paperwork.
What you'll need#
- Current Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED-FPR certifications.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation.
- Proficiency as a swimmer.
- Six months to one year of related experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Hours are determined with your supervisor. You may work up to 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
