About the role#
The Film and Screen Studies Production Assistant supports the lab and equipment manager. You will handle the daily operations of the equipment room and assist students and faculty with their technical needs.
What you'll do#
- Check film equipment in and out for students and faculty.
- Keep accurate inventory records for all items.
- Clean and organize equipment before and after use.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues with gear.
- Maintain a clean and orderly equipment room.
- Help users understand how to operate the equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Strong knowledge of film gear including cameras, lenses, lights, and sound equipment.
- Clear communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
