About the role#
The Facilities Assistant supports the daily operations of the Goldstein Health, Fitness, and Recreation Center and other athletic facilities. This role involves managing events, supervising the building, and assisting visitors. You will work on-site in Pleasantville, New York.
What you'll do#
- Assist with facility maintenance and general operations.
- Set up and break down equipment for events.
- Serve as event staff for hosted athletic contests.
- Work at the front desk and monitor the weight room.
- Act as a building supervisor.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations.
- Handle other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- A patient and reliable approach when assisting visitors.
- Discretion when handling confidential information.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Schedule: Must be willing to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule. You will work no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session and up to 35 hours during breaks.
- Modality: This is an on-site, paid student position.
