About the role#
The Educational Media team at Pace University is looking for a Student Assistant to provide administrative and technical support. You will serve as a point of contact for faculty and campus visitors, helping them navigate classroom technology and department procedures. Training is provided for all technical and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and technical support to clients.
- Staff the front desk and greet incoming visitors.
- Answer phones and respond to general questions regarding department procedures.
- Assist users with classroom audio-visual equipment, event space setups, and Zoom meetings.
- Travel to classrooms to provide hands-on assistance.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and customer service skills.
- Reliability and patience when working with visitors.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn and receive training to assist clients properly.
- Proficiency with Zoom is preferred.
- Experience with computers, cameras, or professional sound equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is a plus.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: White Plains, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Operating hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 9:30pm, Friday 8:30am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
