OSC Global is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Intern to support the Department of Energy Hanford Site in Richland, Washington. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across vulnerability management, security operations, and governance. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals to develop foundational skills in federal cybersecurity programs, contributing to the protection of national assets and sensitive data.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the execution and analysis of vulnerability scans across systems and networks.
- Track and report vulnerability findings and remediation status using ticketing systems or GRC platforms.
- Research new and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security advisories.
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts within the Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Participate in security compliance assessments, audits, and documentation gathering.
- Support the development of cybersecurity awareness training materials and campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and computer networking fundamentals.
- Demonstrated interest in the field and a desire to learn.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- US citizenship is required.

- Employment Type: Full-time (30–40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $21.00–$32.50 per hour.
