Emerging Talent Communications Internship – Public Affairs, Policy & Real Estate

About the role#

Orchestra is seeking motivated individuals for the Fall 2026 Emerging Talent Post-Grad Communications Internship within the Public Affairs, Policy & Real Estate practice area. This program provides hands-on experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and media engagement. Interns will support campaigns related to government relations, public policy, real estate development, land use, and community outreach. This is a paid, full-time opportunity.

What you'll do#

• Conduct research and monitor industry, market, and media trends.
• Draft content, reports, presentations, and communications materials.
• Support client and internal projects from planning through execution.
• Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, client calls, and events.
• Collaborate across teams on integrated initiatives.
• Gain exposure to strategic communications and public affairs.

What you'll need#

• A bachelor’s degree or graduation prior to the internship start date.
• Prior internship or relevant work experience in public affairs, policy, or real estate.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Interest in communications, marketing, policy, or urban affairs.

Location & details#

• Location: New York, NY or Washington, DC.
• Modality: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in-office).
• Term: August 25 – December 18, 2026.
• Compensation: $18/hour.
