Emerging Talent Communications Internship – Philanthropy & Impact

About the role#

Orchestra is seeking candidates for the Fall 2026 Emerging Talent Communications Internship within the Philanthropy & Impact practice. This program provides experience in strategic communications, public affairs, media engagement, and brand storytelling. Interns work alongside professionals to support foundations, nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, and mission-driven brands in building awareness and advancing social impact initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Conduct research and monitor industry, market, and media trends.
• Draft content, reports, presentations, and communications materials.
• Support client and internal projects from planning through execution.
• Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, client calls, and events.
• Collaborate across teams on integrated initiatives.

What you'll need#

• A bachelor's degree (or graduation prior to the internship start date).
• Prior internship or relevant work experience in the Philanthropy & Impact practice area.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Academic background in Communications, Public Health, Philosophy, Political Science, or Human Resources is preferred.

Location & details#

• Locations: New York, NY or Washington, DC.
• Modality: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in-office).
• Term: Fall 2026 (August 25 – December 18, 2026).
• Compensation: $18 per hour.
• Status: Full-time internship.
