Undergrad Applications Developer Intern - Industries

About the role#

As an Undergrad Applications Developer Intern, you will join the Optimization Project Management Office (OPMO) to support Oracle Consumer Industries, including hospitality, retail, and restaurant sectors. This role focuses on delivering strategic project management and development solutions within a collaborative, agile environment. You will gain hands-on experience in AI project management and work with Oracle APEX and machine learning technologies.

What you'll do#

• Learn Oracle APEX from the ground up and integrate advanced AI and machine learning features into new and existing applications.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Contribute to the analysis, design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of APEX applications for commercial and end-user purposes.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle from concept through implementation while developing coding and problem-solving skills.
• Create comprehensive documentation and engage in learning activities to build a foundation in customer success and service innovation.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field, with plans to return to the program after the internship.
• Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Demonstrated experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Structures/Algorithms, software programming, and web/mobile development.
• Exceptional professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive work ethic.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing job duties and deadlines.
• Must reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the U.S.
