About the role#
As a Site Reliability Engineer Intern within the Oracle Cloud Service Centre, you will support the availability of cloud services 24x7x365. You will work within a DevOps team to balance operational responsibilities with development projects, helping to safeguard SaaS services by preventing issues and resolving incidents efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Administer production servers and services while testing system health.
- Develop scripts to enhance cloud reliability and automation.
- Execute defined SOPs to reduce event impact duration and work with monitoring tools to identify the source of system issues.
- Participate in an agile development scrum to fulfill user stories.
- Coordinate with other scrum teams to meet development objectives for the Oracle Cloud Service Centre.
- Undertake incident command training and participate in an on-call rotation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical disciplines.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
- Must reside in the United States and attend a US-based university.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proactive, confident, and outgoing approach to work.
- Passion for programming, cloud technology, servers, and data centers.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage tasks.
- Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
