About the role#
Oracle is seeking a Data Science Intern to join the Global Industries team for Summer 2025. This full-time, on-site internship provides the opportunity to work alongside industry experts on real-world business problems. Interns will contribute to actual products and services while building a professional network within a global technology environment.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple stages of data science projects, including data pipelines, aggregation, feature engineering, modeling, and visualization.
- Develop models to create solutions for complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with product and service teams to identify key questions for data analysis and experiments.
- Communicate findings and insights to product, service, and business managers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in an applied business or quantitative field, such as Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Business Administration, during the 2024-2025 school year.
- Completion of at least the junior year of an undergraduate degree by summer 2024.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, R, SQL, or PL/SQL.
- Experience through coursework, projects, or research with at least one of the following libraries: Numpy, Scipy, Matplotlib, SciKit, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Spark.
- Academic or practical experience in at least two of the following areas: Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Query, Data Mining, Data Modeling, Machine Learning, or Statistical Inference/Analysis.
- Must attend a university in the United States.
