About the role#
As a summer 2027 intern with our Construction Administration and Management team, you will perform hands-on work on civil infrastructure projects. You will assist our experienced staff with construction management, administration, observation, and inspection duties. Projects may include public utilities, heavy highways, municipal streets, airports, and water treatment facilities. This role requires you to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions, and you may be required to work weekends or travel overnight.
What you'll do#
- Inspect and perform tests to ensure work meets project requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Identify and avoid potential safety hazards on project sites.
- Build skills in project documentation, client communication, and contractor management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, surveying, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in varied weather and terrain conditions.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving history.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Availability to work overtime hours during the summer based on project needs.
