About the role#
Olsson is hiring a civil engineering student for a summer internship focused on site design. You will join our team to work on projects for retail, commercial, mixed-use, and residential land development. This role offers hands-on experience, allowing you to work alongside our staff and engineers on real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the creation of construction plans.
- Develop site layouts, grading, stormwater, and utility designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Perform research and write technical reports.
- Travel to job sites as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in civil engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team.
