Legal Intern

About the role#

Oil States International is seeking a Legal Intern to join its legal department. This role provides exposure to in-house legal practice, with a specific focus on the integration of artificial intelligence into corporate legal workflows, contract management, and legal operations.

What you'll do#

• Review commercial agreements using AI-assisted workflows.
• Compare contract drafts to identify revisions, inconsistencies, and potential risk areas.
• Assist with drafting, revising, and organizing company policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research on topics including artificial intelligence, privacy, and data governance.
• Support document management and various legal operations projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed (2L or 3L status).
• Strong written communication, analytical, and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to exercise sound judgment regarding confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Comfort learning and using technology platforms independently.
• Preferred: Experience with generative AI tools, prompt-writing skills, and coursework in corporate law, contract drafting, privacy, or technology law.
