Clinical Intern (Masters Level Counseling)

About the role#

This paid internship offers an opportunity to gain clinical experience in community behavioral health. Interns work directly with clients to provide individual, group, or family services while refining skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and documentation. You will engage in regular supervision sessions to support your professional development and clinical practice. This role is available on a rolling basis and may provide a pathway to future full-time employment.

What you'll do#

• Deliver direct client services, including individual, group, or family sessions.
• Advocate for client needs and recommend appropriate clinical and support services.
• Collaborate with internal professionals, families, and outside agencies to coordinate care.
• Provide Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) and perform case management functions.
• Participate in client treatment conferences and staff meetings.
• Complete documentation according to agency standards and maintain client confidentiality.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• For graduate-level internships, current trainee status (CT, MFT-T, or SWT) is required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen, physical exam, tuberculosis test, and background checks.
• Computer literacy and the ability to work flexible hours.

• Locations: Cleveland, Canton, Lorain, Sandusky, Fairlawn, New Philadelphia, Lancaster, Columbus, and Medina, Ohio.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: Paid at $15.00 per hour (unpaid options may be available depending on circumstances).
