This is a paid Master's level internship for students pursuing a career in Marriage and Family Therapy. The role provides hands-on experience in community behavioral health, focusing on systemic frameworks and clinical support. Interns work alongside experienced professionals to enhance client well-being and develop core counseling skills.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct clinical services to clients, including individual, group, or family therapy.
- Advocate for client needs and recommend appropriate clinical or support services.
- Collaborate with internal professionals, families, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in client treatment conferences and team meetings.
- Complete all clinical documentation within designated timeframes.
- Engage in regular supervision sessions to support professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- Required trainee status: CT, MFT-T, or SWT.
- A valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen, physical exam, tuberculosis test, and background checks.
- Comfort with computer literacy and flexible scheduling.
