About the role#
Nuclear Promise X is looking for a Software Developer Intern to work on projects within the nuclear industry. You will design, build, and deploy software that changes how work is performed. This role involves a mix of full-stack and AI development, depending on your interests and experience. You will work alongside developers and stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve efficiency and safety.
What you'll do#
- Develop, test, and maintain software and AI-enabled solutions.
- Build features, tools, and lightweight applications.
- Support the design and deployment of AI-driven functionality, including agents and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to turn needs into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications.
- Contribute to testing, integration, and deployment processes.
- Iterate through feedback, experimentation, and learning.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges.
- Interest in AI and full-stack development.
- Experience or familiarity with our tech stack, which includes React, Next.js, Python, Azure, Minio, Weaviate, Ollama, Postgres, and Redis.
Location & details#
- Term: Winter 2027, starting January 11, 2027.
- Duration: 4 months with potential to extend.
- Location: Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site (potential travel to the office 2-3 times during the term).
- Employment: Full-time intern.
- Compensation: $26 to $31 per hour, based on academic level.
