About the role#
NMG Aerospace is hiring a Co-Op Engineering student for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside senior engineering staff on teams focused on production, new product introduction, research, and quality. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Stow, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings and 3D models using computer-aided systems.
- Support component and full-scale test activities.
- Design, assemble, test, and fabricate products.
- Gather and analyze data, then prepare standard reports to communicate results.
- Interface with internal teams like manufacturing, quality, and purchasing, as well as external customers and suppliers.
- Assist with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete all required training and follow company safety protocols and EHS policies.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering.
- Completion of sophomore year at an ABET accredited college or university.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Strong analytical, mechanical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and required medical exams.
- Capability to perform manual lifting up to 40 pounds and work in various physical positions as required by the assignment.
