The Software Engineer Intern will join the 2026 PCEP Internship Program at NetSPI. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Portland, Oregon, running from July 6, 2026, through December 11, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior team members to design, develop, and test web applications, implementing new features and resolving technical issues.
- Develop React UI components and connect them to NestJS APIs.
- Support backend and data operations by implementing endpoints, validation, database models, and queries using an ORM, including performing basic migrations.
- Improve software quality and reliability through testing, debugging, and documenting setup notes, feature behavior, and API usage.
- Engage with NetSPI training materials and hands-on exercises to learn about web application security.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program, with preference for junior or senior status.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Ability to work on-site at the NetSPI Portland office for the duration of the internship.
- Experience developing React UI components.
- Familiarity with web application security concepts.
- Experience supporting backend and data work, including implementing or adjusting endpoints.
