About the role#
NetSPI is seeking a Software Development Intern for the Summer 2026 program. This is a full-time, paid internship based at the company headquarters in Minneapolis. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in web application development and security under the mentorship of senior team members.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test web applications while collaborating on new features and issue resolution.
- Develop React UI components and integrate them with NestJS APIs.
- Support backend development by implementing endpoints, validation, and database models or queries using an ORM.
- Perform basic database migrations as needed.
- Improve software reliability by writing tests, debugging code, and maintaining documentation for setup, feature behavior, and API usage.
- Study web application security through NetSPI training materials and hands-on exercises.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program, with junior or senior status preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to work on-site at the Minneapolis headquarters for the duration of the internship.
- Residency in the Twin Cities area.
