NetSPI is seeking an IT Operations Specialist Intern for our Summer 2026 program. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate IT and security operations within a cybersecurity-focused environment. You will work onsite at our Minneapolis headquarters, gaining exposure to enterprise endpoint management, device lifecycle tracking, and professional IT support.
What you'll do#
- Assist with laptop and workstation provisioning, rebuilds, and redeployments for new hires and hardware refreshes.
- Support operating system and application patching activities using enterprise endpoint management tools to ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
- Help manage device inventory in Microsoft Intune, including identifying non-compliant devices and supporting lifecycle tracking.
- Create and maintain internal knowledge base articles to document troubleshooting steps and standard procedures.
- Provide frontline technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues.
- Perform system administration tasks such as device wipes, inventory updates, and endpoint status validation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (junior or senior standing preferred).
- Interest in Corporate IT, endpoint management, and security-focused operations.
- Basic familiarity with Windows and/or macOS, including general troubleshooting and software installation.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site at NetSPI headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Term: June 8th – August 14th, 2026.
- Commitment: 30-40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
