About the role#
The Summer Associate Internship (Operations Strategist) is a 12-week program within the Mortgage & Equity Servicing division. You will support initiatives that improve how we serve our members throughout their homeownership experience. You will work alongside project managers and leadership to develop business cases, analyze industry models, and support the execution of strategic modernization efforts.
What you'll do#
- Organize and coordinate initiatives from inception through implementation.
- Work with stakeholders to deploy action plans and improve operational processes.
- Develop business cases, operations roadmaps, and competitive analysis.
- Prepare project plans, proposals, and operational dashboards to track progress.
- Partner with senior staff to provide strategic analysis and recommendations.
- Participate in benchmarking research and operations audits.
- Apply Agile and Lean principles to improve operational strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators and support change management efforts.
- Deliver reports and presentations to business partners and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Working knowledge of project management, process improvement, and change management methodologies.
- Exposure to Agile principles such as Scrum, XP, or Lean.
- Experience with change impact analysis, stakeholder assessment, and content design.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT.
- Employment: Full-time and paid.
