About the role#
The Mortgage Assumptions Team manages the transfer of mortgage loan obligations while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and servicing requirements. As a Summer Associate, you will support operational excellence and modernization initiatives. You will gain exposure to the end-to-end assumption process and contribute to projects focused on efficiency, scalability, and member experience. This is a 12-week program running from May 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze assumption production, inventory, cycle times, and service level performance.
- Assist with developing dashboards, scorecards, and operational reports.
- Support process improvement and Servicing Modernization initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and operational controls.
- Conduct data analysis to support workforce planning, productivity, and business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Member Services, Compliance, Risk, and Technology.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership.
- Participate in business reviews and present project findings at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.

- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
