About the role#
The Consumer Lending Operational Analytics team provides analytics, business intelligence, and data governance support for Credit Card and Consumer Loan Operations. You will join this team to work on a meaningful analytics or modernization initiative. You will gain hands-on experience by translating business problems into analytical solutions, identifying trends, and presenting findings to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and modernization of operational analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Analyze complex data to identify performance drivers, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to define analytical requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Assist in designing Power BI dashboards and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Explore ways to apply AI and automation to improve analytical processes and efficiency.
- Support data quality and governance to improve the reliability and usability of operational metrics.
- Research opportunities to standardize and automate recurring reporting needs.
- Develop presentations and visualizations to communicate findings to business partners.
- Participate in cross-functional team initiatives that support Consumer Lending analytics.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and draw logical conclusions.
- Ability to translate data into clear insights and business-focused outcomes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on the accuracy of analytical work.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies and business concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments within established timelines.
- Familiarity with data analysis, visualization, or business intelligence concepts.
- Experience with or exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Interest in financial services, consumer lending, and emerging technologies like AI.
Location & details#
- This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship running from May 2027 to August 2027.
- The role is on-site at either 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA or 5510 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL.
- Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
