About the role#
The Data, Systems and Special Projects division of Workplace Infrastructure and Logistics supports operational teams including facility maintenance, space utilization, and asset management. We build the foundation for data governance and analytics practices. As a Summer Associate, you will work independently and with our analysts to help internal business partners manage their data and improve their systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop and refine reports and dashboards.
- Handle data collection, processing, automation, and analysis.
- Identify actionable insights to support departmental objectives.
- Research new and existing systems to improve business operations.
- Interview stakeholders, technology experts, and providers to establish system capabilities.
- Support data governance and compliance projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Majors in Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel.
- Practical experience using AI.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
Location & details#
- Location: Vienna, Virginia.
- Term: 12-week program from May 2027 through August 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
