About the role#
The Summer Associate Internship is a 12-week program running from May 2027 to August 2027. You will join the Member BI team to support business decisions through quantitative and qualitative data analysis. This role involves working on projects of limited scope and complexity under close supervision to help leadership monitor key metrics and identify trends.
What you'll do#
- Build and update interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Databricks.
- Collaborate with data engineers to clean, join, and transform source data for reporting and analytics.
- Support the modernization of data pipelines and semantic models to ensure they are ready for AI applications.
- Conduct data exploration to identify patterns and correlations within member data.
- Document business logic, metric definitions, and data lineage to support self-service analytics.
- Partner with senior staff to define reporting specifications and validate the accuracy of data outputs.
- Explore AI-enabled BI capabilities to improve development efficiency and automate reporting workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics at an accredited institution.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Technical experience with Power BI semantic or Tableau data models, including DAX measures and dimension tables.
- Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, or R for data modeling and transformation.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and relational databases.
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear narratives for leadership.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub and documentation best practices.
- Exposure to managing small analytical projects and gathering requirements from stakeholders.
