About the role#
The Marketing Data Science & Analytics team works with Marketing, Product, and business stakeholders to turn data into insights. The team handles campaign measurement, reporting, business intelligence, forecasting, and customer analytics to help understand marketing performance and member behavior. As a Summer Associate, you will work alongside professional analysts on real-world business problems. You will gain exposure to reporting automation, data visualization, and strategic analysis while supporting executive decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Support the analysis of marketing, member, and business performance data to identify trends.
- Conduct research and exploratory analysis to answer strategic business questions.
- Collaborate with analysts on marketing measurement and business intelligence projects.
- Gather, organize, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, member programs, and business initiatives.
- Translate data findings into clear recommendations for business partners.
- Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and leadership presentations.
- Present your project findings and recommendations to leadership at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to draw logical conclusions from data.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets to identify insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work.
- Interest in analytics, business intelligence, marketing strategy, or data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Coursework in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Previous internship, academic project, or leadership experience.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship located in Vienna, Virginia.
- The program runs for 12 weeks, from May 2027 through August 2027.
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Applicants must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
