Intern - Year Round (IT Reporting & Analytics)

About the role#

This year-round internship offers the opportunity to work with the IT Reporting & Analytics team. You will support the department by compiling and measuring data, preparing insightful reports, and assisting with special projects. This role is designed for students to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment while developing technical and analytical skills under the guidance of experienced team members.

What you'll do#

• Compile, analyze, and measure data to prepare reports and presentations for various service areas.
• Identify opportunities for continual service improvement through data analysis.
• Create strong data visualizations, including charts and graphs.
• Execute daily tasks and special projects in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Collaborate with team members and interact with multiple departments to gain insight into business and technology operations.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience with data analysis, business analysis, or process re-engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with documentation and editing.
• A positive attitude, effective interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service.
• Ability to demonstrate dependability and adhere to process standards and company policies.
• Preferred: Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, dashboard development, or business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Location & details#

• Location: Vienna, Virginia.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (minimum of 20–25 hours per week, flexible based on school schedule).
• Requirement: Must be enrolled in college-level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the duration of the internship. Transcripts are required at the time of application.
