About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to provide and manage mental and behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, and families. You will work under the supervision of a licensed professional to build skills in diagnosing and treating behavioral and emotional disorders. This is a paid, part-time role.
What you'll do#
- Perform diagnostic and risk assessments.
- Provide therapy services and case management or care coordination.
- Participate in observation activities and internship program events like seminars and training.
- Complete administrative tasks, including clinical documentation and outreach.
- Respond to internal and external messages.
- Maintain positive experiences for patients and families while supporting your colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master's or Doctoral program in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- An appropriate Ohio trainee license.
- A valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, and driving training requirements.
- Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A willingness to seek and accept supervision.
Location & details#
- Location: Columbus, Ohio (Main Campus).
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 16 hours per week during the first semester and 24 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters. There is no summer work.
