About the role#
The Actuarial Intern program offers students a way to apply academic knowledge to the workplace. You will explore the insurance industry through hands-on experience, professional development training, and shadowing different areas of the business. This is a paid, part-time summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Learn actuarial techniques and procedures.
- Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies.
- Assist with updating data in established pricing and reserving analyses.
- Practice basic statistical techniques.
- Improve your Excel skills and learn to use programming and other actuarial software.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date between Fall/Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
