About the role#
This internship provides real-world experience working directly with independent insurance agency partners across the country. You will join the Marketing Communications Department to support our outreach and agency appointment processes. This is a paid, part-time position with flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Expect to work 15 to 20 hours per week during the school year, with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with prospective agents via telephone to identify their interest in an appointment.
- Craft marketing messages to inform and sell prospective agents on the benefits of partnering with us.
- Use internal data to understand the market, our product offerings, and potential growth areas.
- Assist the Agency Unit with the application process and follow up with agencies to ensure completeness.
- Perform other marketing duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior.
- A major in Marketing or Business Administration while maintaining a full-time course load.
- Proficiency with personal computers and software, specifically Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and phone skills.
- Good organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
