NATIONAL FFA CONVENTION & EXPO NEWSROOM VIDEOGRAPHER INTERNSHIP

About the role#

The National FFA Organization is seeking interns to capture the stories of the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. This role provides hands-on experience in a working newsroom, professional videography coaching, and the opportunity to build a portfolio by creating content for a large audience. Interns are expected to work daily from October 20 to October 24, 2026, with arrival on October 19.

What you'll do#

• Capture b-roll and interviews for daily newsroom stories.
• Collaborate with newsroom journalists on assigned daily tasks.
• Contribute video content to the FFA Live! broadcasting stream.
• Publish work across various media platforms, including social media and the organization’s website.
• Build a professional portfolio through distributed news and social stories.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in media and production, agricultural communications, telecommunications, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience shooting video on DSLR cameras.
• Physical ability to navigate the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium to conduct interviews and transport equipment.
• Professionalism and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with Panasonic GH6/7 cameras and prior knowledge of the National FFA Organization or the agricultural industry.

• Compensation: This is a paid internship featuring a $500 project stipend, plus covered travel expenses (airfare and hotel) and meals.
• Academic Credit: This position may be eligible for college credit, subject to consultation with your academic advisor.
