About the role#
As a Legal Intern, you will work with our team to support the full lifecycle of satellite missions. This includes spectrum licensing, remote sensing, commercial and government contracting, and export compliance. You will work directly with attorneys and regulatory specialists on projects that affect how we operate and grow. This is a full-time, remote position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices to track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures.
- Support the Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative tasks for commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
- Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and turn your findings into clear summaries and recommendations.
- Assist with corporate and regulatory projects, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a J.D. program, including 1Ls and 2Ls.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- A genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting.
- You are self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Coursework or interest in administrative law, telecommunications, national security, or government contracts is helpful.
- A technical background or prior exposure to aerospace, satellite systems, or defense is a plus.
Location & details#
- This internship is fully remote.
- The term runs between May and September 2027, depending on your university schedule.
- This position requires access to export-controlled information. You must be a U.S. person or eligible to access this information under U.S. government export regulations.
