About the role#
As a Help Desk Intern, you will be the first point of contact for IT support at Muon Space. You will support the team that keeps our hardware, software, and accounts running so our engineers can focus on building spacecraft. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to build IT and customer service skills within an aerospace startup.
What you'll do#
- Serve as the primary contact for help desk requests.
- Respond to tickets and guide teammates through technical fixes.
- Set up, image, and deploy laptops, accounts, and peripherals for new and existing employees.
- Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printing, conferencing, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain IT inventory and asset records.
- Keep internal documentation and how-to guides up to date.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and learn from their resolution processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows and macOS.
- Familiarity with productivity tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- Strong communication skills and the patience to assist non-technical users.
- Well-organized, reliable, and eager to learn.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Mountain View, California.
- The term runs during the Summer of 2027.
- This position is paid.
