About the role#
mtheory is seeking an Audience Development Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time, paid position offers the opportunity to support our team in managing marketing and digital services for a diverse roster of artists. You will work on-site in our New York office for a 15-week duration.
What you'll do#
- Support the audience development team with daily operations.
- Participate in team meetings and creative brainstorming sessions.
- Analyze global and regional streaming data for client projects using platforms such as Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, Chartmetric, and Soundcharts.
- Conduct research on artists, including social network analysis, touring history, and digital presence.
- Develop creative content strategies for artists across various music genres.
What you'll need#
- A strong passion for music across all genres.
- Proficiency with social media, digital streaming platforms, and editing tools such as TikTok, Instagram, and CapCut.
- Ability to interpret and report analytics using Google Sheets or Excel.
- Experience as a self-starter who can follow direction and work independently.
- Previous internship experience in the music industry is beneficial.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Business Administration is preferred.

- Location: New York, New York (On-site).
- Term: September 7, 2026, through December 18, 2026.
- Commitment: Part-time, maximum of 15 hours per week.
- Requirements: Access to a computer and reliable internet is required. College credit is available but not required.
