About the role#
MPR Associates is seeking junior or senior students for paid, full-time co-op engineering positions. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple project disciplines within the electric power, federal services, and health and life sciences sectors. You will collaborate with junior and senior engineers, including industry experts, to deliver technical solutions to a diverse client base.
What you'll do#
- Perform thermal hydraulic, structural, and electrical analysis.
- Support capital project management, including project planning, siting, permitting, and risk management.
- Engage in product development, such as mechanical design, software development, and systems testing.
- Contribute to process control systems, including system architecture, design, and risk assessment.
- Assist with asset management and business operations through data analytics, quality assurance, and process development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Civil Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- A strong desire to pursue a technical career path and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with programming languages such as C++ or Python.
- Proficiency with analysis or design software such as MATLAB, Simulink, Ansys, or SolidWorks is preferred.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively on engineering teams.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position available on a rolling basis during the spring, summer, and fall semesters.
- Locations include Alexandria, VA; East Lyme, CT; Burlington, MA; and Salt Lake City, UT.
- Compensation ranges from $1,000 to $1,450 per week based on experience, education, and skills.
- Benefits include a housing stipend for eligible students and paid holidays.
