About the role#
Mountain View Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy team. This is a paid, part-time position based on an as-needed schedule in Idaho Falls, Idaho. You will work directly with pharmacists to provide care for patients ranging from newborns to the elderly.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists with medication services for patients, nurses, and physicians.
- Dose medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain and restock medication inventory, including automated dispensing and anesthesia machines.
- Process medication records, compute charges, and enter data into the computer system.
- Prepare and interpret medication usage reports, including narcotic usage.
- Receive and store incoming supply deliveries.
- Keep the pharmacy department clean and orderly.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement and quality activities.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Ability to identify and understand dosage variations for different age groups.
- Completion of annual education requirements.
