About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern for Spring 2027, you will join a small team to develop next-generation sensor systems. You will own the full hardware development cycle, from initial PCB design and circuit architecture to the integration of autonomous vehicle hardware. This role involves prototyping, debugging, and field testing hardware deployed to customers worldwide.
What you'll do#
- Own electrical architecture decisions, including component selection and PCB layout.
- Design and iterate on sensor integrated systems from concept through to production.
- Collaborate with mechanical, perception, and robotics teams to optimize hardware and software integration.
- Manage relationships with manufacturing partners and component suppliers.
- Lead design reviews internally and externally with suppliers and partners.
What you'll need#
- Strong systems architecture capability, including the ability to define the full electrical stack.
- Deep PCB design experience, including schematics, high-speed routing, and power integrity.
- Firmware proficiency in C/C++ for board bring-up and peripheral integration.
- Experience designing power systems, including DC-DC regulation and battery integration.
- Experience integrating autonomous system hardware such as LiDAR, cameras, GPS, and IMUs.
- Experience working with manufacturers on DFM reviews and production strategy.
- Academic background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
